Aftercare
Bounce Hair Extensions are designed for professional use. It is important that any semi-permanent extensions are fitted by a professional technician to avoid damage to the natural hair.
To ensure healthy natural hair that can continue to grow and to prolong the life of your extensions follow our aftercare advice below.

Fitting & Maintenance
Bounce Hair Extensions are for professional use only and we recommend you have a qualified technician fit your hair.
-
We recommend attending a maintenance appointment every 4 weeks.
This allows your stylist to check the attachment points, remove any matting, and reposition or replace extensions as needed.
-
Never fit or remove extensions yourself. This can damage your natural hair.
-
Contact your technician if you have any discomfort, slipping or matting, these issues can be easily rectified by a professional.
Washing & Brushing

-
Using an extension friendly brush, brush thoroughly before washing to remove tangles.
-
Use sulphate‑free, extension‑safe shampoo and conditioner. Sulphates can strip the oils from your extensions causing drying, tangling and snapping.
-
Wash gently, keeping tension away from the root area.
-
Avoid applying conditioner directly to the attachment points.
-
Don't brush before partially drying.
-
Never sleep with your hair wet.
Heat & Styling

Bounce Hair Extensions are 100% human and so can be treated as you would your natural hair, but we would advise that you follow these simples rules to prolong the live of your hair.
-
Always use a heat‑protectant spray prior to drying and styling.
-
Keep heat tools at a moderate temperature.
-
Avoid applying heat directly to the bonds, rings, or tapes.
-
If attending a hair salon for styling, ensure your stylist knows you have extensions. Excessive pulling, brushing and heat can make extensions slip. You might wish to hold the root of the extensions as your stylist is drying.
Holiday, Exercise & Life
Style

Your new hair should blend seamlessly into your life style but there are some activities that mean you need to take some extra care.
-
Tie hair back during workouts to prevent tangling.
-
Brush and dry the roots after sweating to prevent moisture buildup.
-
Before swimming dampen hair and apply a UV protecting leave in conditioner, tie hair in a lose ponytail or braid, to avoid tangling, don't swim with your hair loose.
-
Avoid submerging your hair repeatedly in chlorinated or salt water.
-
Rinse immediately after swimming and wash as soon as possible.
-
Avoid getting suncreams, tanning solutions or oils in your extensions as it can cause colour changes.
Things To Avoid
Keeping extensions looking flawless is all about gentle, consistent care and avoiding the habits that cause stress to the hair.Caring for hair extensions is as much about what not to do as what to do. Avoiding the wrong habits protects the cuticle, prevents shedding, and keeps the extensions looking luxurious for longer.
AVOID
-
Applying heat, conditioner or oil based products directly to bonds or rings - This can melt, loosen, or weaken attachment points.
-
Sleeping with wet hair - This causes matting and root tension, especially with fitted extensions.
-
Over-washing - Extensions don’t receive natural scalp oils, so frequent washing dries them out.
-
Clarifying & Medicated shampoos — Too harsh for regular use; they lift moisture, can weaken bonds and strip the colour.
